Full shed of ford v8,s
I have a mates 39 coupe in the shed today for a small problem ,got it sorted so it ,s in my shed till tomorrow, with the other Ford V8,s.
I took it out for a drive today with wife Carol, she was impressed and thought we should swap the 34 for it. Its the first V8 I have driven with the Mitchell o/d fitted and I'm very impressed with how it went. Lawrie |

Re: Full shed of ford v8,s
I would be interested to know if the floor had to cut to install the o/d. But I wouldn't swap a 34 for a 39 ;-/

Yes, ,Trevor , but it is nice up here,
Jimbo, I'm going to crawl under it this morning and have a look. I have often thought about an OD for the 33 but as its main job is towing the caravan around the country I dismissed it, BUT after driving the 39 I may rethink an OD. Re: Full shed of ford v8,s
I talked to Mr. Mitchell at the Turlock swap meet many years ago when he was showing his new overdrive.
He said he ran it for a year in his 3/4 ton Ford pickup with 390 V8 with no problems. Seems like it would be ideal for any of the cars we talk about here. Aaron griffey Hayward CA |

Re: Full shed of ford v8,s
I put one in my 37 and it is by far the best thing I have done to it. 36%.. I did have to cut my floor but my car has reversed springs. With my 4.10 rear and 29" tires it really need some more gear. My floor was replaced with flat metal a very long time ago so I had no problem with cutting it.
