Re: Wildfire evacuation
Before this gets to far, I think people should know that the "Oregon Catalyst" (sic) is a known conservative blog.
Make your own judgement. Let's get back to cars. |

Re: Wildfire evacuation
I'm asking because I do not know the answer, I'm not a body guy (yet).
If the carb catches on fire and burns through the paint on the hood, or brakes catch tire on fire and burns the fenders is it repairable and able to be used again, or has to be replaced? |

Re: Wildfire evacuation
RAIN! today.
That pretty much removes our house and shop from any major wildfire danger this season. We are lucky here. Only about 25 houses burnt in the county I am in. In Oregon, nearly 2000 houses were burned, over 1000 of them in two small towns 20 miles north of the California border. The consequences are not done, major issues of flash floods with debris flow into the Clackamas river (33% of water supply in Portland suburbs) and into the Santiam River (state capitol Salem water supply) and across highways in those river corridors. Most of the fires were started accidentally. There were a couple of arson fires with the arsonists being "nut cases" not affiliated with any organized group. Some confusion came about because of radio traffic talking about the "BLM" setting back fires (a wildfire suppression technique), ignorance showing as in this case "BLM" meant Bureau of Land Management" not the protest movement. Thank you all for your support Living in interesting times! Last edited by Karl Wescott; 09-18-2020 at 10:55 AM. |

Quote:
I'm in that Alemeda fire area (12 miles from it), our fire was arson and has killed people (at least 5-6), 50 missing and destroyed, at least 1000 homes. After that fire started, another guy started a second, in the same area then, 5 miles from me, a third fire was started. It matters how they are started!
