I hope that You maybe have some good advice for me. I have lowered my -23 roadster 6" rear and 8" front and i'm very satisfied with the stance.
What do You prefere, heat and bend the steering arms to clear Z bracket i made or use model A arms instead. Or make a bend on the tie rod. How did they do back then? My wishbone is split and combined with the T-bone and a Model AA tie rod with its rod ends connected to a small bracket attached to the frame. I have searched the MTFCA forum for pictures and North West Vintage Speedsters home page but can't find any good pictures, how to do this. I believe all You speedster guys must have a simple solution for this.
I would love some pictures showing how it's done.

OK.... Here goes nuthin'! I joined here yesterday on the suggestion of Herm after becoming disillusioned across the hall. I too am building a "kinda period correct" homebuilt speedster from a '26 motor and a '25 frame etc etc...
So far Ive lowered the front and back 5 inches. After re-assembing the engine today (I hope!) the next object is to cut the wishbone at the pan mount and make a pair of "T" bones which will run up to the frame and connect with heim joints. The heims are connected to the T bones with inner/outer tie rod sleeves so that there is the capacity to adjust for caster, altho I really dont think the adjustment is necessary. Thats accomplished in the front spring perches... So heres some pics. Wish me luck on this. Across the hall is a real juevo-buster to post pics and this is how I do it on my own personal boating forum. ws aka yachtsmanbill

I hope this conforms to the managements pic posting policy. I had problems with the admin at yachtforums V bulletin forum and left in a huff. Later on Ill update my personal stuff, but to say the least for now, Im in Two Rivers Wi. The land of the free and the home of the brave!

COOL !! It worked ! This shows some front end stuff as well. The axle is lowered (new frame raised) five inches. No welding on frame railes allowed. I manage to spend about 4-5 hours a day in the mancave! ws

I take A LOT of pics and love posting them, so watch out!! I always look forward to comments, questions, and answers to MY questions too!!

This is how i did it. Now i only have to figure out how to steer it when driving. Bent steering arms, bent tie rod or both. Model A arms and model A steering box with the drag link.. rather not. How did they do it before the model A showed up? I would like to have it period correct as possible.
