Looks to be a complete 37 engine with 42-8 dist. That thing on the carb is an adapter for some sort of air cleaner. Was it in the open, that oil filter looks like the lid was pushed up by ice?

It must have set outside for some part of its life .the engine is locked tight ,I,m just weasel pissin the crap out of it now tryin to loosen things up. The engine might be a gonner ,but the attachments are what I like, never heard of a 59 carb . the govener is cool too,

I like the bell housing adapter, looks like it could be used to adapt a T-5 or something to. Walt
