Paul should be at the EFV8 Meet, maybe you'll run into him. He was going to ship the '39 LZ floor pans before he left for Hiawassee. Hope I get them this week. Vic

I don't think so, based on what he charged me for the pans

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

It looks like this weekend will be a wash out as far as playing with Flatheads goes, according to the weather service; we're getting rain off and on all weekend... I'm sure I'll find something Flathead related to mess with...

We have been inundated with rain here in the Tampa Bay Area and it's not going to subside any time soon according to the weather service... Think maybe I should start building an Ark...

The ’51 F-1 is parked on the “high ground” in the back yard and the normal water level at the Cyprus Head (aka) swamp, is just at the perimeter of the trees…

The sound emanating from the swamp, a cacophony provided by the rejoicing Frogs… is almost deafening...

Vic,
Stay safe and dry. I hope you two don't have to seek higher ground. Are the trees stable? I remember the pics you posted the last time you had a lot of rain. It was not good at all.

Hi Chuck, Thanks for your concern, we're ok but surrounded by water, looks like we've got our own little island. All the trees are still upright however, I had a surprise this morning when I took the trash out... the propane tank (that had not been filled) was floated up out of the ground... Looks like a U-Boat... Just another fun day building the house... one step forward, three steeps backward...

I tried to shoot some video of a short drive in the LZ today and I posted it on YouTube... I'm still not sure exactly how to post things but, if you'd like to take a look, go to Youtube.com and type in Cigar City Flatheads. I've posted two videos (one is for business)... Hope you enjoy the Zephyr ride...

Ok, if you go to YouTube, type in: 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Club Coupe and that should take you to the thumbnail so you can click on it and watch... It's much easier to work on the Zephyr than to mess with computers...

WOW... The sun is out and it’s not raining... what a treat! I was so happy to see the sun that I brought some cars out and did a video of the '39 CS, I'm uploading it to YouTube right now... Sure glad to see the sun again. Now maybe we’ll be able to get some work done on the ’51 F-1 transmission swap this weekend.

I watched your video of the 39. It's kool to be like a passenger in it & hear it go through the gears. I like the looks of that car. I'm curious though about the video. The image kept bending, sort of like watching a reflection in a pool. You've got some vehicles that I wouldn't kick out of my garage Vic.

Woodie1, thanks for the complements, I appreciate it. I also noticed the distortion in the video, I think that it is a result of the format conversion that YouTube does when it gets uploaded. I shot both the '39 LZ & '39 CS videos on a professional broadcast camera and everything is fine on playback so the distortion has got to be caused by the conversion...

You could just paint it yellow and hang a picture of the Beatles on it.

It breaks my heart to see that pretty `51 pickup sitting out in the weather!

Bud, it's a Ford truck, most likely it spent most of its life sitting out in the weather... At the moment I've got all the convertibles in the garage... I hope to get started on the transmission swap in the '51 F-1 this weekend; we'll be installing a '49 Merc with Over Drive...

I'd rather go on a Magical Mystery Tour with Sgt. Pepper down Abby Road...

I think I'd rather go down Abby Road with Lovely Rita The Meter Maid. It's funny I was never a big Beatles fan but their songs do stick.
