Default 8BA fuel pump questions

I have a '53 F100 with the original flat head V-8. I have some questions about the fuel pump and I added some pics to help keep what I'm looking at clear. First, what is the correct mechanical pump for my pickup? In the pics you might be able the see the differences in the size of the inlet and outlet on 2 different cast AC housings. And what is the significance between 8RT and 7RT codes or prefixes? I see it on castings and in part numbers.

"RT" designates TRUCK application rather than CAR. The "7" represents 1947 design period, whereas "8" represents 1948 design period. You should remember that the pick-up trucks got the "NEW" 8BA-based engines for the 1948 production year, whereas the CARS got the new 8BA & 8CM engines for the 1949 production year. DD
