Default 37' pickup cowl vent

I am trying to free up the hinges and control mech. on my cowl vent. Not sure of the movement as it comes up. Does the cowl vent rise and then tilt back or is it hinged and tilts back directly. It is starting to free up and one side seems to be lifting up out of the cowl. This thing has a layer of rust on all the moving parts and I have yet to get it to open. Could be there is too much rust damage for me to get it to work. I am cautious to force anything and would like to understand the movement as I get things to loosen up. If anyone could explain or post a picture I would appreciate it.

Here's what a 35 pickup vent looks like from underneath. Hope this helps.

Don - Thanks for the photo, I can see some similarities. Yours looks perfect. The 37' has a screen in the opening, not sure if it is hinged to open or lays flat. Handle and hinges look the same. Just was wondering if the vent rose up in an arc or was hinged at the back. Mine has a layer of rust, I am trying to free it up gently and see if I can get it to work again. I'll keep trying, Thanks -Q
