Default French Flatty 59A clone Pt 6. First start! First Drive! But is it ok?

Hello. Welcome to this week's video from Mart's Garage. Yup, I manage to get the French Flatty 59A clone finished and installed in the truck. In this video I cover the last few little jobs to make it run, carry out the all important first start, and then get it out on the road.
So join me in the garage and the truck and lets see how it all turns out!
Thanks for tuning in.
Mart.

Good success with that run. Thanks for taking us along.
I do love the sound of the bigger inch flatheads.

You mentioned in the video that the day you drove the truck was the day you posted the first video about reworking that engine. How long have you had it running and has it turned out? It looked promising in the lastest video.

Good fun Mart - looks like it is running really well and you and your truck and having a good go of it. Thanks for the video tour!

Haven't posted in a long time but still watch your weekly video. Haven't had much spare time to work on mine but can spare an hour to watch you. It's cool that you got thT engine running again I hope I can perform that kind of magic. Keep posting and I will keep watching thanks Mart for all your time you put in to these videos.

Mart,
Really enjoyed the ride with you, testing your French engine rebuild in the truck! Good work!
Regards,
Chris

Hi, Mart,

I enjoyed the ride, too. Really like the countryside you took us by.

You mentioned you're not happy with the charging and you thought the noise might be the dynamo/generator. Maybe put a hose or stethoscope on it to see what you hear??

Thank you for taking us all along!!
