Default model A Fordor year (Briggs) ?

How can I do to recognize the year of manufacture of a front door from a Model A Fordor Briggs (flat door top, wooden structure, "de luxe" glass frame, lift up opening door,... )?

Briggs doors are straight across the top ,and Murray doors have a slight curve or arch

Pictured is a 1929 Briggs

I believe all years Briggs Fordors doors are the same. I think it might be hard to determine the year of manufacture of a front door of a Briggs Fordor. Murrays are different size from the Briggs.

From memory, aren’t slant windows built exactly the same?

Yes. For the first time, Briggs and Murray fordors shared the same parts.

Previous post should read: Yes. For the first time, Briggs and Murray slant window fordors shared the same parts.

Early (1929) cars had a wooden board on the inside holding the window riser mechanism
Later (like 1930ish) they changed to a metal inner panel. Of course the door structure itself was wood all up to the introduction of the slant windshield models

The molding trim you are referring to is found on the Town Sedan bodies of those years.

My understanding is that all Briggs, and Murray bodied fordor models respectively, on the straight windshield models only, were interchangeable from 1929-early 1931 (vis-a-vis all Briggs from the windshield back with other Briggs bodied cars, and all Murray bodied cars from the windshield back, would be interchangeable with other Murray bodied cars for this same period).
