Yes, since new. It was purchased at S.H. Cooley Ford in Healdsburg, CA in 1934 by my cousins father. I have the original key holder (?) from Cooley:

Hello all, I am new on the Ford Barn and I am fixing up a 1940 ford 1/2 ton pickup. I need both ends of the bed, tailgate and the other end panel. Don't know if its worth asking for them or should I just buy new. Thanks for any help. Bob

Northern Classic Trucks in Michigan has the parts you need. They also have the new cab wood and bed wood if you need it.

Great project! Have put about 12k miles on this one. Story is that it was a street rod in Calif. - purchased in Mich. - carb fire - burnt. purchased and moved to NY where complete resto was done. Hyd brakes remain and engine is a NEW Canadian military. Every day driver weather permitting. Not perfect but fun.
