Default Front Brake Rods & Wire Type Anti-Rattle

I am putting the front rods on my 31 Cabriolet. I have the clevis facing forward. Which way does the wire anti-rattle spring face? Is the circle portion of the anti rattle pointed toward the rear or forward? I assume the anti rattle spring is on the forward side of the bump on the brake rod. Does anyone have an installed picture? Thanks for your help, Ed

Install so they act as brake retractors (springs). The dip in the spring fits the bung on the rod.

Been there, had those thoughts. Remember the rods move opposite, front versus rear, but both pull on the lever at the backing plate. Good luck, you'll get it right, I'm sure.
