Default 53 flathead engine mounts

I installed my engine mounts so the open C is towards the front of the car. I made notes to this effect upon teardown. Now that my fan is too close to the radiator, I am wondering if they are installed correctly, and if it matters? The transmission mount lines up, and I don't see any slots in the transmission mount for movement front or aft. I thought I might be able to adjust the engine at the mount area, but it aint movin. Thanks

tommyleea on my 50 ford cpe it measures 1/2 @ the top of radiator and 3/4 inch @ the bottom they always where very close probably because they didn’t use a shoud it probably was good for the parts department to ,they could sell you a radiator and fan blade when you wrecked it

Thanks..I know the fan is close, but at the moment my fan hits at some points. Working on the fix.

Is your radiator on the correct side of the U channel bracket?

don’t want to sound stupid but do all the blades touch or just one or two or maybe someone put the wrong bearing and shaft for the blade on it

Good question..The fan assembly is original..I didn't rotate it completely, because of it rubbing the radiator, but I did remove the fan assembly and double checked the blades to make sure they weren't bent.. Thanks..

A few measurements for reference. 8 1/2" from the front of the left head, to the radiator. 5 1/2" from the back of the water pump pulley to the radiator. 4 1/2" from the back of the fan pulley to the radiator.

What car or truck are we dealing with here. Ford, Mercury, or truck? They are all different.
