Default Cluster-Gear Thrust

Is there any published spec for cluster-gear thrust in an early Ford three-speed transmission? I'm curious what a recommended amount is, though I haven't seen an official figure.

Thanks!

It will be listed in VanPelts transmission book. Unfortunately I'm not near that book right now. Someone will chime in or you can call Mac VanPelt and he will be happy to advise you. If you don't have Mac's book you should seriously consider it.

Mac lists it as .005" to .017" end play clearance if that is what you are looking for.

Actually, I own his book and after looking at it for probably the 14th time I finally saw the numbers I was looking for... right on the page. Imagine that! For the record, he lists cluster gear thrust as between .005 and .017. Thanks, everyone, for the input.
