We are ready to make another attempt tomorrow - we've made sone changes and we are feeling pretty good about things right now. If she stays together and all the starts align, we hope to post good news .....

A well done race truck. I visited their pit today. Very impressed with the efforts to fight off the first time out gremlins. Good luck guys..

This is from this morning, photo by winduptoy on HAMB.

I really love the name they have for the truck, Virginia HAMB Special, ya know, like Virginia Ham, something they are sorta proud about!

Thanks for all your support guys - we fought it right up until the #4 cylinder smoked and that closed the book on us for this year. ...

A very valiant try Tom and team. Always a learning curve when trying to go fast. But 5 stream liners going over 400 MPH is a new high. Today should be interesting, since it is the last day. I will be listening to the live broadcast. Thanks for the updates Tom. Mark.

Got interested in this adventure while Jimmy's Engine and John were building my flathead, and followed the thread on the HAMB. Took about a year of tinkering to get it tuned just right, - so by that standard, you are off to a promising start.

If you take another run at it in the next year or so, I will sponsor a major engine component. All you have to do is put a decal from my daughter's store on the truck! I am sure many or your fans would rush in to Williamsburg Market Square to buy a pair of high fashion shoes.
