Default 1940 Oil Bath Air Cleaner??

This is the air cleaner that was on my 1941 Ford pickup when I purchased it. I believe that this is the same as the United air cleaner that was used on the 1940, but was hoping to get some feedback on that!

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

While the center section appears to be very similar to a '40. this assembly is NOT 1940 Ford. No how, no way.
It is no where close to a correct '41 either.

Kube beat me to the answer!! The top appears similar looking straight down on it, but the rest of it isn't close. I can see where it could cause a question to someone not familiar with a 40 oil bath air cleaner. Have NO idea what it actually is.

Could be Canadian. NZ v8s and Mercs had a similar cleaner without that shield on the side of the bottom section. More one of the types for 46-48. Mine is similar with the same "flying sorcer" windows on the side.

Update. If anyone has a copy of Ford Closing the Years of Tradition go to page 16...appears to be same as one on the v8 pic.
