Default Classic Wood, New Ownership?

I was just told that classic wood is under new ownership. Steve is reported to be fighting cancer. Anyone know if this is true?

What a shame. A story we are hearing all too frequently. I pray he gets better.

I hope some young, talented woodworker picked up his business so that he can provide this service to the hobby for many years to come.

I hope Steve beats the monster and that the new owners keep the same dedication to quality.

The new owners name is Howard Comstock. My brother in law worked with him for over 10 years and has nothing but good things to say about him. I would say that Classic Wood is in good hands.

Bill and all ,
Yes I found out last week he passed away and just spoke to them the other day as I received my 68 c top wood bows. I now have all the wood. It sounds like everyone there will be continuing the tradition if their quality wood products
My condolences and regards to those who knew him

Yes it is true. Steve was a fighter 'til the end.

It might be worth noting that the new company (Classic Wood LLC) send us a flyer saying they have a 20% price increase effective 1/01/14, ...so if someone is thinking about placing an order, you might consider doing so prior to the new year.
