Default Value of 1931 Coupe/Pickup Fenders

I'm looking at buying a set of fenders and I was wondering what the value of them would be. They include running boards and front splash apron too.

Here are some photos that show the condition:

What is your restoration goal? Show car or driver? Personally I'd buy a pair of reproduction steel fenders, prime and paint them and mount them on the car. Time is money, and fixing the repairs on those will soon eat up the time equal to the new repros IMO. Bob

What's the asking price of the parts?

The goal of my project is to have a driver quality car. I am purchasing them as part of a package deal, so it seems like they would be something I could pick up now and if I don't want/need them, I could trade them for something later.

Since you asked, If I was selling those, I would, probably, ask about $200.00 - $250.00 for the pair. They have been broken, but they don't look rusted out or thin.

Would that be including the running boards and radiator splash apron?

Good for you Sir!! By you saying you are wanting "driver quality" I take that to mean you want everything to be right with regard to fit ( duh, naturally you want them to fit!) ...AND be able to withstand the vibrations and abuse created by lots of driving on highways. Is that correct? Since I am assuming that is indeed the case, then I can understand how you would want the best available and wouldn't want something that would only go on a 'show car' that would never get driven.

I wish more people would take the stance that they want a "Driver" car that will function just as it did originally instead of just wanting a 400 point "Show" car that you can't do anything with except look at it!

Yes, I do not want a car/truck that I would be afraid of driving or letting people near. In fact, my second job (I work at a grocery store and go to college) is a lawn care company and I think a Model A truck would make the best work vehicle. It's cool looking, unique, functional and memorable.

I want to make the truck accurate and well done, so I don't want to skimp and cut corners, so I am trying to find the best deals possible. I'd like to eventually get it to the point where it will be a daily driver option.

Do these fenders, running boards and splash apron seem like a good deal for around $250?

Thanks!

$250 looks like a fair price
You do have some work ahead of you though, I just finished a pair of rear fenders that looked about like what you have here
Just be prepared for the tops to be pushed in around the 'step' plates (from people stepping on them for many years)
I ordered new 'bead sections' from Snyders and grafted them in, that I'll give you a straight working edge - because you'll have a tough time getting the bead 'just' right
I'm going for a 'driver' that I can show/parade/have some fun with.
Good Luck, and have patience
Scott
