I talked with my Dad about this tonight. A man in the midwest started restoring the coupe and died. Little Roy got it from his widow and had H. Van Meter (my Dad's friend) in Kentucky finish putting it together for him.

I always liked the intro to Reno and Smiley's Bluegrass TV show in Virginia in the 1950's. Reno and Smiley pull up in a Model A and the band is riding in a Model T.

Jimmie Rodgers was such a great musician and had a beautiful voice; so tragic that his life was cut-short ( TB )...

Though I am musically illiterate, it sounds to me like a gathering of Model A's and bluegrass jamming would doubly enjoyable.

[QUOTE=bobpo;254448]Jim,

I was just going thru some of my old 50's tapes and Lo & Behold right in the middle of Carol Perkins and Jerry Lee was a song called
"BIG BLACK TRAIN" by Flatts & Scruggs. It got on the charts in the mid-50's right along with the Rock & Roll stuff.
