Default vacuum convertible top

Is there anyplace in Massachusetts that can convert a vacuum top to an electric top?

What year did they have a vacuum top? I though they were only hydraulic or screw jacks.

1940 Ford convertible coupes were all built with a vacuum assisted top mechanism.
