Default headlight current tied to ignition switch?

I don't like drilling metal and on the wood floor I'd kick it.

I have a Victoria, and the battery kill switch is just in front of the center of the driver’s seat. I’m 6’2” tall, and the switch doesn’t seem to get in the way of my feet.

Bruce, I never even thought of that, but I can safely say no diode, no problem. I just leave the dash light on and it only comes on when I put the lights on.

I have the dash light wired to come on with tail lights as mentioned above. I also have a buzzer that comes on anytime the lights are on and the ignition switch is off.

Install a cut out. (#11 and #16). I did this and no worry about electrical drain when I am not driving it.

You could always install a computer to control all aspects of your car. Probably get one from a junk yard off a 2016 Chevy Silverado. Make sure you get all the sensors too and the speakers to that it can generate the beep, beep, beep when you forget to turn off the lights. Otherwise, just tie a string around your finger.

I have a Tudor and installed mine between the seats. Its not in the way and is not visible. Easy to reach down and turn off and on.

If you can't remember to turn the lights off do you think you
will remember to turn the disconnect switch off.

Bob C, good point. I usually remember to cut the gas valve, so hopefully gas/electricity will become the habit too....

My wife accuses me of not being sensitive to how other people perceive me. So I apologize if my post #25 was taken the wrong way. It was meant to be humorous. See also accuses me of being a geek, which is true. And a caveman, which I deny.

I am in Wilkesboro. About 3 hours north east from you. We had some ice on the deck this morning but now done and only cold rain. I am trying to get motor vated to clean my shop. It needs it. Maybe if I drink another cup of coffee.
