Default Scams !

I put a wanted ad on the HAMB classified last week for some parts I needed, got 5 responses, all scams. 1 fella just copied pics off E-bay & sent them as his own. Really sad what this has come to !!!!

Thanks for heads up. Still a good place to post wanted tho. I got a positive/successful response on an item. Just have to establish enough communication back/forth with responder to Google for more info about the responder.

One time when I used "Google" to search the address a real estate ad popped up showing photo's and data of a vacant house. So-called seller want money sent there. I called the agent and confirmed vacant status and warned them it may be used as a "front" for a possible sting .... they just drive by periodically collecting mail from the box on the porch. Don't know if my call had any effect but hopefully it put a crimp their process.

Dave,

Just a thought, is it possible the person that contacted you on the HAMB, is the same person that's selling the parts on EBAY ? Maybe you already checked that out.
