Default Model a link

https://fargo.craigslist.org/cto/d/1...677741819.html

My freand is looking for a model a coupe I found this one for him as you see in the add the guy say it is a 1929 but it is a 1930 sport coupe so I emailed the guy and got a phone number he called the guy
No title does not turn over they put tin on the top he said cash only and he would have to take it to the bank to make sure it is good and he said it is 6250.00 firm and he needs a day in advance to show you the car

He bought a farm long time ago and it was in the shed

It doesn't look like a sport coupe, just a regular coupe. It is probably a deluxe based on the cowl lights. It looks like a 1931 based on the radiator shell. May have a rumble seat based on the step on the fender (good or bad point depending on what you want). At that price with no title and questionable mechanicals I would pass on it.

I think he said it was nailed on

My friend talk to guys and got two stories about the car one guy told him they bought it together and was planning on restoring it but instead the old guy bought a restored one instead
The old guy said he got it with a farm he bought so it hard to believe witch one
We thought it was worth around 3 grand

Hmmm. Car has no title. He wants to take YOUR CASH to the bank. What's to prove this ever happened... Sorry, I'm not that trusting of a person.

I would tell the seller to get a title in his name and then we might talk. Still might be over priced in my OP.

Your having a hassle already. No title? I would pass. There’s other model A’s out there for sale. You can find something better for that price.

Wow! How much for that rust bucket? I bought one of my coupes for 4Gs a few years and it was running and in better shape than that. Also, I hate a guy who gives the price "Firm" when it is in such deplorable condition. Save that for the the Cream Puff Town Cars. It doesn't appear to be a "Sport Coupe" They look more like roadsters only the top doesn't come down. It's probably a standard or deluxe model, 5 wheel, rumble seat (?) edition, Common! It may be a 1930, but it has a 1931 Radiator shell. If he got the car through a land sale, did he get the title too? If not, I hear Illinois is a tough state to get a title in. Investigate this! Rust can hide a lot of things! Someone said about 1/2 of the asking price, I concur! Around $ 3000.!

Who said anything about illinois? Car is in North Dakota, OP is in Minnesota. MN is quite easy to get a title. From the pics, car looks in pretty nice shape, Older ND cars usually are not rusted out like MN cars typically are. Look it over real well, make a well informed decision, then write your name and phone number along with your best offer on a piece of paper and leave it with the seller. Be respectful! He has probably been dealing with a bunch of tire kickers and is sick of them. Craigslist can attract some real scumbuckets.

You’re quite the wheeler dealer, Brother. Ever a week goes by you don’t hunt down something?
Wanna buy an engine? Heck, you probably drove my truck with this motor still in it!
Just ribbing you. Good hunting.

Good afternoon...The MARC and MAFCA Sites both have a number of 'A's for sale...Take a look on line and then take a look at Hemmings...usually more than 300 to choose from and usually some not too far from where you are...Ernie in Arizona
