Default Strange Vibrations

My 29 tudor has an off and on vibration that is puzzling. Sometimes when I start up and drive down the road it is smooth and vibration free, can run 45 - 50+ and is a great ride. Other times I start getting a vibration around 40 and is really bad at 45 and have to keep it just under 40.
The strange part I have found is when getting the vibration I can pull over, shut the car off, restart and it will run smooth again. Not always but sometimes. Never know when starting my car which one I will be driving that day. Can't understand what changes.

Could it be tires gone square from sitting while cold? Try driving slower for a few miles and see if that helps.

Thanks for the response. Have had this car for 5 years, new tires put on couple of years ago, but the same before and after.

Check the bottom of the car for any parts that can vibrate. Between 40 and 50 is where a lot of Model A's like to vibrate, mine included. Make sure the brake rod springs are seated firmly against the upset in the rods. Check the brake cross shaft for slop. When I drive over RR tracks or bumps at 40 MPH something under the car makes a very loose slapping noise, but I still haven't found it. Counterweights on the crankshaft help stop engine vibrations besides the main purpose for them.

When it is vibration mode can you make the vibration by speeding up the engine in neutral ---

do you feel it stronger in the seat---steering wheel, gearshift
