Default Transmission flush

I have a 30 tudor that has been setting for a good while and the transmission is extremely tight, Clutch is stiff. Is there a recommended way to flush the transmission to loosen it up.
Thanks

I'd just drain the tranny and add new 600w oil. Clutch is separate from the tranny and therefore anything you do to the tranny really won't affect the clutch (assuming it is a working tranny). You might take up the floor board and remove inspection plate and have a look at throw-out bearing and springs. Lube the shaft the throw-out bearing slides on as needed.

Hello, you may also want to check the play in clutch and brake pedals and also the clutch linkage usually a lot of wear in them causing the clutch not to release completely. Some models also have grease fittings on bell housing for the clutch shaft that operates the throw out bearing.

I do pretty much as Big Hammer said but a Run the transmission with the wheels off the ground (ATF in there). I run it for a minute or so, then drain and refill so long as what comes out looks sorta OK. With no load on the gears, ATF gives plenty of lubrication and is light enough to get the goo moving.

Agree with a flushing with ATF and the way to do it. Then I prefer 140 or 250 oil.

There's a grease fitting on clutch bearing hub , grease there could be dried up making clutch action stiff
