Default Sparton chime horn wiring

The connectors on the Sparton Musical horn are the same size and I don't see anything to indicate the difference between the positive and negative post, if there is any?
If it is connected backwards, will damage the motor or just cause the armature to lock up.
If the motor rotates backwards to it's normal direction, will damage the horns sound mechanism?

1930,68B , Looking at the horn , as in your first pic with the cover on , the left post connects to the battery , the right would be the ground , which is where you would splice in the horn button . Don't use anything smaller than #14 wire , [ per Sparton Instructions ] . Check this Google Images link for more info . I Googled sparton chime horn wiring to find it , in there Images . I have a few of these that I tinker with at times , till it gets me frustrated trying to get them adjusted right , then I leave them for a while . Some models have three posts .

Thanks for the info. The google link has a lot horns I've never seen. I've read a couple of articles about how they are to get adjusted.
