Default Inside rear view mirror photos

I'm getting really close to finishing up my 63 Falcon ranchero and need some help. In one of the many boxes I received with the car I don't have a clear idea of what the inside rear view mirror mounting would look like. Can some take a photo or two to help me along?

I also am in the process of installing the sun visors and noticed that there is a clip that hold the sun visor in place but not sure where that goes since the new headliner is in place and these keepers were not in the car when I got them so unsure if they even belong. If they do where do they go?

Thanks for your help. Chuck

on my '60, the mirror mounst to 2 screw holes in center of the top molding. also has a plastic piece that attaches to same screws that hold the ends of the visors up in place.
maybe peel headliner back a bit to locate any holes. can always reglue with contact cement

- STOP THE PRESSES! -

The mirror is attached to the windshield with a glue on bracket. ILL below -

The bracket for the visor is not shown in the 1960/64 MPC FINAL ISSUE as most info of that nature was deleted. One would need a true period PARTS CATALOG to ID the bracket.

Below is a reference to one on E-BAY - https://accesvinta.com/c3db-7604132-a - (C3DB-7604132-A being the PART ID NO - CASTING ID)

According to cataloging it is listed for a CONV, but that info may have been abbreviated or there is a separate PN for other body styles.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT -

Is your mirror roof mount?

There must have been two mounting systems for that car. The above info shows for the FASTBACK and CONV. I found another photo that shows a roof mount similar to earlier cars as yours is a lower trim level. See 2nd photo below -

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your is roof mount, there will be a bracket under the headliner that accepts the three trim screws. You should be able to feel for them.

Hope this helps, anything else just ask.

How did you do with the interior lamp?

Here are some photos that I took of the parts that I have. One is the dome light, one rear view mirror that I found in a box when I bought the car and I cannot find a surface to mount it, keepers for the sun visor. In the above photo the top items are the sun visor brackets. Just an FYI on that

Actually, you have everything you need. Did you or a trim shop do the headliner?

You asked about the lamp on an earlier post as to coming on when the door was opened. That was you correct? You would need to find a high trim donor with the jamb switches and harnesses to upgrade your RANCHERO.

No door switches in my car. I put in the head liner but forgot to take photos when the old one was in and after I ripped it down. My fault and I'm paying for it. I just put the windshield in last weekend. When I feel around I don't find any place to attach the rearview mirror so I'll take the dome light out and feel around.

Oh, I thought you might have wanted the interior lamps to be actuated by the door(s). Sorry about that or it was another poster.

Let me ask you, that mirror bracket seems to have catches for the visors. Am I looking at it correctly?

I never thought of that but you may be right. As I said before I got a lot of parts in boxes so what you are saying could be true. I'll check again tomorrow.
