Default Where did the Auction 32 Fords go????

Anybody know who bought any of the 32 Fords at the Auction? I like the Cabriolet or the B400. I though that they would be way to high for me. They were good buys I though. At my age I don't need any more Junkers hanging around here. I guess I can dream a little. Hope they enjoy them.

It was Randy who provided the results; I only added that they included the buyer's premium. Thanks, Randy.

Those prices are all through the roof! Even the hot rods. So much for “nobody wants our old cars anymore”

What explains those high prices?

"Want" . . . not "Need" . . . but good to see for those of us fortunate enough to own a 32.

Talked with the guy who bought the 300K 3W coupe, said he was not going home without it. He was happy, knew exactly what he was buying. All the speed equipment was authentic, modifications, construction, finish all perfection, could not be duplicated today for that price.

On the other end of the spectrum, the low sn chassis, had to persuade bidders up to 16.5 What's the future for an aged museum piece, build a restored car when the value of restored cars is flat or down? 16.5 as the foundation for a hot rod? what are you going to use, the grill shell?

Also talked to the guy (agent) who bought both the phaeton and the original roadster. He was very pleased. Laser focused on originality.

Nice cars, nice to see the interest is still there. I liked the Three Window Coupe Lot # 209 at an 'affordable' $66K plus shipping home plus Illinois tax would put you in at around $70,000

I love seeing the cars, I'll be happy looking at someone else's!

Jay Chicago, good question and one I've asked a close friend who is a retired VP from a local Bank, and is sharp with $$ and also into old cars. He told me he thinks that people are cashing in their stock market gains of the last few years and buying HARD assets, things they like and can enjoy. Bailing out of a feeble Stock Market that is in tune to collapse.

If I had $70K, I'd purchase a cherry three window and make it a very mild hot rod with reversible mods. Those suicide doors are just killer IMHO.
