I use this even though I do not have a Brumfield head but a different high compression head.

What kind of head do you have and what is thr condition of your engine?

This one says 50, but most folks do 55. But this will show you the sequence.

I did the following and it seems to have worked: Initial torque to 55 ft-lbs on installation of head (in 10 ft-lb increments). Warm up engine then cool overnight. Re torque to 55 ft-lbs. Drive for a week or 100 miles. Cool overnight then re torque to 55 ft-lbs. Drive for another 500 miles or a month, cool and re torque. Re toque cold engine every 6 months. Loosening before re torquing makes sense but do one nut at a time. I used the copper anti seize on the nuts. Lubrication like the anti seize will mean that the tension on the studs will be greater than if assembled dry.

MIKE"S and MAC"S catalogs have the information located in the catalogs. There are diagrams of the torque patterns and repeating torque sequences and time between doing so. Each step is 'always' with a cold block.

Just take your time and do it right.
