Re: 1939 windshield frame
The two pieces that cover the joints are easy to make out of a piece of .030 stainless. Cut two strips 5/16 wide and form each over the top of the frame with a small hammer, and then bend the ends under. I bend one end under the frame first to hold it against the frame while I form it over the top. Cut off the excess on the ends. With a file I chamfered the edges and put a little taper from the center to each end. Polish the tops with 2000 paper. I have made several sets for the 39 and 35 and they look just like the real deal. Be sure to put a little silicone over the joint before sliding the piece over it. The center piece may be hard to find. Hope this helps
