1928 sedan....move your seat back, the easy way
I am nearly 6' 1" and am a proud "new" owner of this sweet 1928 Model A. The car is in near mint condition and I needed to move the seat back without major surgery.
Here is what I did..... I purchased a kit from "Mikes A Fordable Parts" which has 2 cast brackets that allows me to scoot my seat back just over 6". 2 bolts and about 15 minutes of labor and I was able to sit in comfort rather than having my belly rubbing on the steering wheel

Shane i use them also they make a huge difference. I see your original brackets are turned around already, that gives a tiny bit more

Re: 1928 sedan....move your seat back, the easy way
Slightly OT:
I've often thought about doing something like this in my Cabriolet, but it seems impossible without removing or cutting the window shelf. However, I am a little reluctant to make a drastic modification like this. Has any one done this or perhaps can suggest an alternative to increase leg room for us tall guys? |
