Default Another 53’ F100 steering box question

Evening folks , been searching for information on F100 steering box .
Question
Are the worm gear keyed ,if not I’m assuming just press fit . I guess I can cut the old one off with grinding cut wheel and oven heat the worm and freeze the shaft for assembly .

Many thanks as always Ford Barn

Press fit and also keyed. They have a very tight press fit. The key is for indexing. You can cut the worm to remove it but do not cut the shaft.
