Default 1950 H226 oil pan removal

Has anyone dropped the oil pan on a 1950 ford car with the engine in the car? Engine is 226 flathead 6.
Wondering if it will clear the front cross member..
Thanks, Steve

I have a significant amount of oil leaking from the bell housing. I suspect the rear main rope seal may be the culprit. Part of the front cross member had at one time been cut away to fit a large V8, so there is extra room. Just did not know if the pan would clear the crank journals.

If it's anything like a V8, it helps a lot if the crankshaft is turned so the counterweights on the front are up.

Also consider how it will go back together. Are you going to properly align the pan and hold it in place without out messing up the gasket and sealant.
