Electric solenoid on Mitchell OD
Has anyone fitted an electric solenoid and switch rather than the cable system.
If so what was used cheers |

Interesting question. Soleonoids usually work only in one direction, a Mitchell needs to
go two directions. Lets see what others think. |

Dodge just realised yes it has to push the gear change lever and pull it maybe needs some type of small electric motor cheers

The solenoid on an overdrive is spring loaded so it is electrical to engage and a spring to disengage.

as the electric magnet has more pull after it gets going. I used selonids for power to openers (big wire) and small wire to change gear. Works good |
