Default Has anyone seen this?

Better yet has anyone seen this repaired? It is on the casting separation line in the valley just below the no. 2 intake guide, 59A.

How much pressure produced the bubbles? Was there any evidence of water in the oil?

Yes, I have seen it and yes, I have repaired it. Weld-spot, peen, weld, peen weld. peen, etc. Use block sealer upon startup and forget it.

It only had about 25PSI at the time I took that photo. It also has a crack in the number 8 intake port, doesn't seem to extend past the seat, and a crooked heli-coil in the blind stud hole near the rear on passenger side. The block is of unknown history and was a freebie.
