Default I Hate It When This Happens

I especially hate it when I spent weeks getting every stud out.

That block is being pressure-tested. There is an air bubble (soapy water) coming from the crack between the valve seat and the cylinder. Visual reason for pressure testing a block before investing big bucks. DD

If cracks don't go too deep in the pockets, they can be pinned. That and possible need for cylinder sleeves can make reapirs expensive but one of these days we may not have much choice when good blocks become harder to source. Cylinder sleeves are also going to get more common as time goes by and engines wear beyond usefull tolerances.

I had one pinned or pluged about 2 yrs ago, still seem fine today no antifreeze loss. At least I know what I have. I watch it constantly.
