I found some well preserved original 1952 Mercury advertising for sale on ebay a while back and it finally arrived yesterday. Amazingly well preserved. I've been looking at examples of them for quite a while and finally talked myself into spending the money.

Congratulations Ralph. These old Advertising Brochures are always hand to find and are very collectible.

Really nice Monterey but what it the little insignia on the lower part of the front fender? I've never noticed that on any other 52s that I can recall.

No, it is a stock Mercury Flathead V8.

Probably some personalizing/customizing by the present or former owner.
