GT 40s Ford Olof the topics but
Chris Amon MBE has passed away famous for the one two finish for Ford at Le Mans where the Ferrari stranglehold was well broken another of the past real racing car drivers have gone RIP.

Chris Amon, Bruce Mclaren and Denny Hulme (The Bear) were my racing idols as a youngster. I was at a Police Driving course at the Manfield track in the mid 80's. Amon happened to be there that day testing the first of the front wheel drive Corollas for Toyota. He lived and farmed just down the road at Bulls.
RIP, now all 3 have gone to the great racetrack in the sky. A couple of pics below including one of Mclaren and Amon with the "old mans" son on the victory dias at Le Mans. GB
