Default 38 Glove Box Liner

Anyone have any luck converting a 1937 Glove Box liner (which appears to still be available) to fit a 1938 open car?
It appears 1938 liners are no longer available…

As always, thank you in advance!

I have not tried, replying to bump this back to the top.
I also found it interesting that the listing I found were specifically for closed cars. I am curious what the difference is between closed car and open car glove box liners. Anyone know?

Closed car (1938-39) glove boxes are more or less rectangular, Convertible/Station wagon (1938-39) glove boxes are tapered, taller on the inside - shorter on the outside.

I wonder if photos/dimensions are available of the 38 open car version…
The original liner was missing when I purchased the car.
I’m not a stickler for 100% authenticity, but I would like to have a functional glove box…

You might check with Michael Driskill at Third Gen. I saw a glove box liner for a '48 on his ebay listings a while back. He may have others.

I may be able to get you dimensions eventually. The glove box lock on my car doesn't work very well with the key, I have only gotten it open once and foolishly locked it again. Hopefully another 38-39 open car owner sees this and measures their glove box for you.

Well… the 37 glove box liner isn’t really close to the 38 convertible glove box opening…
And it looks beyond modification to fit (too narrow).
Looking at photos of a 1940 liner for possible modification….
