Default 1931 Roadster nearing completion

Our 1931 roadster nearing completion. Here, the top is setting on, but not fastened in the back.

I bought it for my wife, but she is not showing any interest, so I'm giving it to my son. He's 1-1/2 and he loves it.

It was started by a father-son duo, but unfortunately they both passed away. I bought it and finished it.

looks nice! and good to see another Roadster saved! Do you know the history of the car? Engine rebuilt or original? I like the color combination

The history of the car is kinda short, as it is a Brookville body. Based on some loose observation, I think the car was a coupe and the previous owners sold the body and bought a repro body. I had to redo the whole chassis, but it was a nice chassis in general. The hood and front fenders are original. The engine was not rebuilt. I went through and checked the bearings, etc, and replaced what needed to be replaced. I should get some miles out of it before a full rebuild is needed. They had painted it the brown (amateur job), and a friend and I added the moulding color. It will be a good driver. It runs and drives well.

Good going Brian, I did mine (Avatar) about 5 years ago. Originally it was a beat up coupe and now a late 30 std. roadster thanks to Brookville.
