We had in mind for this to be a Renninger's replacement. We tried a swap a few times over the past few years but weather never cooperated. This is a new venue in cooperation with the Hellertown Historical Society. We will see how it goes for further development in the future.

We've been doing the original Model A Day here in Sharon, WI. since 1997, and the show has taken on a life of it's own. The Village of Sharon sponsors it in conjunction with the Rockford A's of Rockford, IL. The folks in town put on a pig roast and the Wisconsin Historical Society does a historical demonstration. Last year they robbed the local bank, but we caught the robbers before they made off in their 30 Tudor. We always get over 200 cars, and over 300 on a perfect weather day.

Renninger's was always on a Sunday. They needed to use the parking lot of the restaurant next door which was closed due to the Amish blue laws. I prefer Saturday I hope this becomes a great yearly show.

Durn it! The wife has a farm outside Reading, 45 miles away, but says she is too old to live in the cold back there. I've wanted to move since her mother gave it to her.

There seems to be always something to do in that part of PA. Not much happening around here in farthest west Texas (actually northern Mexico).

But I guess you never appreciate what you have...temp in the mid 70's today with sunshine.

5 more days till the show. I know it's early but the current forecast for Hellertown on Saturday is partly sunny with a high of 69 degrees. It sounds like its going to be a nice day to take the family out and see some Model A's.

it was a beautiful day in Hellertown for the Lehigh valley model A clubs first meet at this new location. i would say it was an overwhelming success as approx 80 cars showed and some came from as far as Long Island N.Y. it was a first class event and we sold just about everything we brought in the first hour. twas nice meeting some new barn friends and seeing the old ones again. i cant wait till next year

I counted 84 cars,10 of which were non Model As. There were 4 Classic Rolls Royces,must be a clump of 'em around there. There was also a 28 town car from Connecticut and a gorgeous A 400. They had a wagon maker's shed with a lot of parts and a train display in a basement. The weather was perfect. It's just so nice that the Lehigh Valley A club could put together a show to continue the tradition of Renninger's where close to 100 Model As assemble.I didn't think it was possible,especially back east.

The wife and I drove up from Virginia's Northern Neck and are glad we came. This was a wonderful event with great people,beautiful cars and perfect weather. I will definately return.

I went and estimated 75 cars, a few originals. The four Rolls Royces, a nice 40 Ford coupe. I think the show was good, too bad that there weren't more vendors (maybe 8-10) The way to the show was poorly marked. I rode around Hellertown for nearly an hour till I found it. That's with a trailer of wood behind me (Boy, that was fun!) Anyway I didn't let that spoil the day. The weather was good and Ginnie and I had a great day!

Thanks for the honest feedback. I'm sure there will be many topics discussed about the event at the next club meeting. Brian or I will be sure any comments or suggestions made on the Barn are incorporated into these discussions. I think the event was a big success, especially considering it was our clubs first event at the location and first time working with the Hellertown Historical Society. I for one am hoping the event continues.

If anyone else has any suggestions on how to make the event better we would love to hear them.

For a first time , I think the show was excellent! There's bound to be some glitches. Now you don't have to mark it, I know where it is. LOL BTW. I think there were more "A"s than I remember at Renningers. Maybe I'm wrong about that, just an impression.
