Default V8 times

Can anyone tell me about the wheels on the 35 truck pictured on the back cover of the V8 times Sept/Oct issue 2013? I love the look. Ken

There was a post here last month on that truck and some discussion on those wheels. Not sure if it was determined exactly what those wheels are.

I had a set a few yrs back and they were made by Kelsey Hayes.I think maybe an aftermarket accy since I have seen them in different bolt patterns.Hubcaps are hard to find for those although the 40-48 will fit but are tight. There is a fellow that has 1 advertised here as an artillery wheel.

Years ago I had a set that was similar. They were an artillery wheel made by Kelsey Hayes and had them on my Model A pickup. The hub caps are tough to find.

So was this ever resolved? Does anyone know the wheel size? Is it 5 or 5.5 X 16? Same with the tires, does anyone know the brand and size? Odd, the non stock stuff always seems to get the most attention. Thanks,

This PU truck was on the show field at the EFV-8C/A GNM in June at South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Look in the latest V-8 Times magazine to get the owners name. Then go to the 2013 Roster and see if you can find his phone number or email address and contact him directly for the information you want/need. That way you get it directly from the horses mouth.

The owner of the truck is Don Nicoli. He visits the V-8 Club site frequently on the forum and is currently building a '40 sedan delivery. Don lives in the San Francisco bay area.

Has anyone ever determined what these wheels are. I believe they're aftermarket but sure look good. I'd consider a set for my '37 coupe. Wheel Smith has some that look similar. Did not find owners name in V8 club roster.

Don is a recent member. He may not be in last years roster as I think he joined after it went to print. He should be in the upcoming roster
