German Flathead V8
I have seen a picture of a German V8 from WW2. It is different in that there seems to be a deliberate attempt to increase water flow from the rear of the engine by increasing the width of the cylinder head in this area. In other words water from the rear can flow more easily to the center outlet.
I looked for this picture but can't find it. I wonder if this was a Ford US design or something the Germans did? Does anyone know what I am talking about? |

Was used in army vehicles some surfaced in sweden as surplus. The 239 model was G99t replaceable cylinder liners and later it was a different casting adapted to Bosch distributor. Real odd ones. |
