Default 38 clutch petal problem

Put an 8rt in my 38 coupe. Now I can't get the clutch petal to clear the frame for the clutch petal to go to the floor. Can the petal arm be bent? The car has been converted to hydraulic brakes. What's the best way to solve this problem? All help deeply appreciated. Mike

I don't know why the engine affects the clutch pedal, but I put a '40 pedal assembly in my '38 and had to heat the clutch pedal and bend it to the left so it would pass to the left of the X-member.

If you have the same clutch pedal and trans you need the floor in the setup clutch play. What I think is the clutch pressure plate fingers are not the same and may need to make lever longer. or shorter. If the throw-out bearing has to go farther you need to make longer rod. I put 8rt in 47 coupe and had that problem.
