Universal Joint Housing Cap
I have two different universal joint housing caps. One has what appears to be a hook that goes over the frames cross member, the other does not have this hook. Is one correct and the other not, it is for a March '31 project car I am working on.

Re: Universal Joint Housing Cap
Steve Thank you for the article it was very helpful. It appears I have type three with the safety lug and type five without the safety lug. If I am understanding correctly the safety lug was phased out in June of '29 and since my car it a Mar '31 I will be using the Universal Joint housing without the safety lug. Thanks again
