Default R&R steering column now horn not working?

Hello Gentlemen, I recently remove the steering column of my 32 pick up stock, had the steering box rebuilt, after replacing everything, realized the hold is not working, lights seem to be working fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

the horn button is a ground. easy check would be un-snap the bail and remove the light switch body. then, check with an ohm meter the little contact at the end of the rod. have some one push the horn button and check to see that your meter shows contact when the button is pushed. if not, you broke the wire that goes up to the button while rebuilding. not a big deal to fix except you cant get the rod out with the column in place, it needs to be lowered or removed. dont bend the rod!

also, before you take it all apart check that there is power at the horn. maybe just a bullet connector came loose. at the horn one wire should be hot all the time, the other gets ground when you push the button

take piece of stiff wire --coathanger?/---touch center pin of light switch to ground---horn should honk----if ok take piece of wire one end on center contact, other on end of horn rod---have other person push button, if it works there is a problem with the horn rod not touching the light switch contact---if still not work look in button
