It was the first Grand National I attended. It was absolutely awesome to see so many restored and or original 1932 Fords. Also, Bill Seacrest's son "gave" me a $20 (probably $100. in 2021) and "asked" me to stop talking with friends about his father's 32 phaeton. He "asked" me to go get coffee. I was surprised, it was regarded as the best 32 there but it had several easy to spot issues. Needless to say we started to look at other cars and we enjoyed the coffee money.

I would have also been of "negative" age in 1973.
