Re: 600/16 Tires
I am on my second set of Coker black wall 6.00 x 16 on my 1949 Ford Custom Fordor. The first set lasted about 40,000 miles and still had tread, but they were over 15 years old.
I believe that everyone has their own opinion on antique vehicle tires, so hopefully you will hear from others. The one thing that I can tell you is that they are no longer as cheap (cost wise) as they used to be. |

Firestone black or white wall depending on the color of the car.
IMHO. |

Re: 600/16 Tires
Bill, it depends on what you are going to do with the car. Put it on the concourse? Drive it at Bonneville? Take long trips? Occasionally drive it on nice days? It will be like asking what is the best oil. You will get lots of different answers. Good luck.

Re: 600/16 Tires
I installed Diamond Back 6.00 R 16 radials at 40 lbs - no tubes on my 38. Steers and rides better.

Re: 600/16 Tires
Tires are like shoes. Some people like wingtips some like sneakers.
It's a loaded question with no real answer outside what you want. |
