Default Out with the bad

Pulled out the bad engine in my 40 Sedan this afternoon. Once I get the oil pan cleaned and reinstalled on the new engine along with the timing cover, pulley and other bolt on items I’ll be ready to install the new engine. Hopefully get some miles on it before June. My plans are to take it to the EFV8 meet in Franklin Tennessee.

Great job DD. My neck was getting stiff too. Oh, to make you happy, I have installed new oil pan bolts. Raven finish, yet.

Looks like you'll be ready to go in no time. There is nothing better than installing, starting and trying out a new engine . . . like Christmas as a Kid every time!

Is your '40 sedan Cloud Mist Grey or Acadia Green? It looks like Cloud Mist in the first pic and Acadia in the second.

Did you build the replacement flathead yourself?

Hopefully one of these days i'll be swapping another engine in my 40 sedan.
