Default Holley 94 Thottle Cable/ Linkage Fitting

Now that I’m nearing the end of the rebuild of my Holley 94 I need some type of throttle cable/linkage for the ball type lever arm. I’ve searched the interweebs and really haven’t found anything except some OEM stuff on eBay. Is this stuff still available, or does everyone run a modern setup?

Pic of carb linkages. I apologize for the poor image quality, but pic will not upload from my phone, or share with iPad.

What car are you putting the carb on? Stock or modified? If stock, check out Bob Drake, Dennis Carpenter.

No stock car. I'm building a custom speedster so no need to be "original". I just want something that mates with what I already have on the carb.

The throttle end you pictured is typically for a Stromberg Carb. and linkage. The 94 you have uses the larger end and a rubber cover over the steel ball. You most likely know your missing the linkage from the throttle linkage on the Carb. base to the accelerator pump rod.

Thanks. Yes, I'm missing the linkage because I didn't install it as it was bent. Perhaps the 97's use the same type linkage as the exploded view of the Holley 94 from VanPelt shows the same parts as what I have on my three.

I did manage to find this and a few similar type cable ends, but I doubt they are the correct size for the "ball" end on my linkage.

The Stromberg and Holley Carb. both have the ball end on the throttle. If you want to use the Stromberg style on the Holley It should attach and work. The later and larger Holley end will not work without the rubber cover. Offenhauser also offers a link for attachment. I believe there are attachment ends on the Stromberg web site also. The aftermarket replacement ends are often used when making up linkage for multiple Carbs. or for unique equipment such as what your working on. Speedway may also have ends.

Look at Ford Tractor linkages. They are at least similar, but I'm not sure of the size compatibility. Ford 8N, 2N , 9N and NAA thru 800 series are all similar. Marvel Schebler is one of the carb styles. Dennis Carpenter Ford is a good source for Ford tractor and car parts.

Thanks for the tips and info everyone. While ordering parts from Vintage Speed, I asked if they had what I was looking for, and they did.

Also, the Stromberg 97 site has something similar.

Measure the length you need. It seems the "good" suppliers only offer the one length for the rod with both ends similar to what you pictured. Those of us with 8RT parts (pickups) are SOL if in need. Of course a bit of mig wire and zinc plating would take care of that.
