1941 Ford tailgate paint

What is the correct paint scheme on a 1941 Ford pickup tailgate , #1 all 1 color or #2 the raised FORD script was painted a contrasting color . BTY my truck is an original black truck . Thanks Mike B

Mike, On the '40 p/u I had years ago, the tailgate was the same color all over.
It had original paint although not in great shape.
BTW, do you still have ole number 29?

After 30+ years I let old 29 go for a chunk of $ and a 1952 Kurtis 4000 Offy powered Indy car , thanks Mike B

raised script was not painted a different color, just the same as the color of tailgate
